Today we’d like to introduce a little side project that grew out of a very practical need: Traeky (https://traeky.app).
If you’ve ever tried to keep your crypto transactions organized – maybe just for your own overview or even for tax-related purposes – you probably know the pain:
Spreadsheets everywhere, manual notes, multiple exchanges, different file formats, constantly changing prices. Things get messy and error-prone very quickly.
That’s exactly where Traeky comes in. It started as an internal tool we built for ourselves, but we quickly realized that many others are likely facing the same challenges. So we decided to make Traeky available as an open-source project.
Traeky is a local, open-source, self-hostable web application that helps you record and track your transactions – especially in the crypto space.
Here are the key features at a glance:
To make Traeky usable in different environments from day one, the following settings are currently supported:
This allows you to configure Traeky to match your regional and personal preferences.
Right now, Traeky is not optimized for mobile use and is clearly focused on desktop. The reason is simple: most users who work with multiple files, reports, and exchanges tend to do so on a laptop or desktop, where they can comfortably manage imports, exports and reports. That’s where we see the primary use case. Mobile optimization is therefore not a current priority – but we’re happy to collect feedback and consider it down the road.

If you have suggestions or encounter issues, we’d be very happy to hear from you.
Traeky does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. It is purely a technical tool to help you record and evaluate transactions.
Please note in particular:
You use Traeky entirely at your own risk. For binding information or advice on tax or legal matters, please consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
